The news of the JIS establishments of MIDI and the JIS standards documents issue. (A Japanese Industry Standards) The electronic music standardization policy committee of AMEI (Chairman : Yoshio Yamasaki, Professor of Waseda Univ. Advanced Research Center for Science and Engineering) have proceeded with the Japanese Industry Standardization of the MIDI standard on consignment from the Agency of Industrial Science and Technology in 1998 from 1996, because standardization in the electronic music field is promoted steadily. Then, two standards of the standard number X 6054-1 and X 6054-2 were established on January 20, 1999 by the approval of the Japanese Industrial Standards Committee. After that, these JIS standard documents were published this May by Japanese Sstandards Committee.
